Bomb threat triggers emergency at Thiruvananthapuram airport for Air India flight

PTC News Desk: A full emergency was declared at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport today after a bomb threat was reported on an Air India flight travelling from Mumbai. According to airport sources, the situation escalated as the flight approached the airport, prompting the pilot to alert authorities about the potential threat.

The Air India flight, carrying 135 passengers, landed safely at Thiruvananthapuram airport around 8 a.m. Upon landing, the aircraft was immediately directed to an isolation bay, a designated area away from the main terminals, where it was secured as a precautionary measure.


Emergency protocols were swiftly enacted, and all passengers onboard were evacuated from the aircraft. The evacuation process was handled with urgency, ensuring the safety of everyone involved.
