Bihar: Boat carrying 12 farmers capsizes in Ganga River, 2 missing

A boat capsized in the Ganga River in Mahavir Tola village, Maner district, Bihar, leaving two people missing. The incident took place on Sunday morning when the boat was ferrying around 12 farmers.

PTC Web Desk: A boat capsized in the Ganga River in Mahavir Tola village, Maner district, Bihar, leaving two people missing. The incident took place on Sunday morning when the boat was ferrying around 12 farmers.

The police reported that everyone else on the boat swam to shore.

Head of the Maner police station Sunil Kumar Bhagat said, "A few farmers were taking their vegetables in a boat in the morning, around 7 am to 8 am, and as they were about to reach the Mahavir Tola ghat, the boat capsized."

The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) responded swiftly to the tragedy, and rescue efforts are presently continuing.
