Blast kills 11, injures 60 at Madhya Pradesh's Harda firecracker factory
PTC News Desk: A devastating blast ripped through a firecracker factory located in Bairagarh village of Harda district in Madhya Pradesh, resulting in a grim toll of casualties. The explosion, which occurred on Tuesday morning, claimed the lives of at least eleven individuals and left approximately others wounded.
According to Harda District Magistrate Rishi Garg, the injured have been swiftly transported to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Among the injured, several are reported to be in critical condition, underscoring the severity of the incident.
In response to the emergency, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ravikant Uikey, under the guidance of Betul Collector Narendra Kumar Suryavanshi, mobilised a medical team comprising two doctors and additional staff. Four 108 ambulances were dispatched to the site to facilitate the evacuation and treatment of the victims.

Further aid and assistance poured in from neighboring districts, with Betul district dispatching a contingent of emergency response personnel and equipment to support the ongoing rescue operations. The deployment included 15 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel, four home guards, one police constable, one head inspector, and various firefighting and medical equipment essential for the rescue efforts.
As the rescue operation unfolds, SDRF teams remain on-site, diligently coordinating with medical personnel and ambulances to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the tragic incident.
