BJP leader declared dead by doctors regains consciousness as family prepares for last rites
PTC News Desk: BJP leader Mahesh Baghel, who was declared dead by doctors, regained consciousness when his family was preparing for his last rites.
He regained consciousness even as doctors in Agra told his family that nothing more could be done to bring him back to life.
According to the brother of the former BJP district head, doctors at a nearby hospital where Baghel was taken told family members that not much could be done and that it was best to take him home. Family members followed doctors' instructions and assumed he was dead because he showed no signs of life.
“Family members prepared for last rites but some movement was seen in his body and thus he was admitted to another hospital where he remains in serious condition,” the brother further said.
He is claimed to have a chest infection and is getting treatment for it. Following Baghel's remarkable'reviving' back to life episode, many local BJP officials met at the hospital to pray for his health.
