Parliament winter session: Scuffle over Ambedkar breaks out in Parliament; BJP MP blames Rahul Gandhi for head injury, Congress leader responds

PTC News Desk: The row over Ambedkar in parliament has snowballed into a slugfest as both the BJP and INDIA bloc protest inside the Parliament complex over insult to Ambedkar. Donned in blue attire, the colour associated with BR Ambedkar, opposition INDIA bloc members carried out  protest and sought Union Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation.



Meanwhile BJP MPs also took out a protest march while demanding apology from Congress alleging insult to architect of constitution.

Meanwhile BJP MP has alleged that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi pushed him during the protest. BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi said, "Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP who fell on me after which I fell down..I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who then fell on me."


In response to the allegations, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha said, "Everything is captured on camera.. I was trying to enter the House.. BJP MPs pushed me and threatened me.. Kharge ji was also pushed.. Pushing does not affect us.. BJP MPs cannot stop us from entering Parliament."


The standoff escalated on Wednesday as the Congress and other opposition parties launched a full-scale attack on Shah over his comments about Ambedkar, calling for his dismissal. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders came to his defense, claiming that Shah had revealed the Congress' "anti-Ambedkar" position.
