Baba Siddique murder: Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, accused of murdering former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique, reportedly learned to shoot by watching YouTube tutorials, according to the Mumbai Police, as cited by news agency ANI. The police have arrested four suspects in connection with the high-profile murder of Baba Siddique, while three others remain on the run. Multiple police teams have been formed to arrested the absconding suspects.

The Mumbai Police Crime Branch is leading the investigation, having seized a black bag containing a 7.62 mm firearm. "The accused were given a photo of Baba Siddique for identification. The shooters surveilled his home and office premises 25 days prior to the attack. Gurmail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap practiced shooting without a magazine in Mumbai after learning through YouTube," said Mumbai Police.

The fourth arrested suspect, Harishkumar Balakram, aged 23, was taken into custody in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. He allegedly provided financial support and managed logistics for the murder. Balakram, who worked as a scrap dealer in Pune, was involved in the conspiracy. Two of the other accused, Dharmaraj and Shivprasad Gautam, were earlier employed at Balakram’s scrap shop.

The incident took place in Mumbai's Nirmal Nagar, where Baba Siddique (66) was ambushed by three assailants outside the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique. After being shot, he was immediately taken to Lilavati Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. His burial was held on Sunday.

According to information from the Mumbai Crime Branch, the murder was meticulously planned in Pune. Investigators have so far recorded the testimonies of over 15 persons, including several eyewitnesses present during the incident. The attackers claimed ties with the Bishnoi gang, led by Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in Sabarmati Jail, Gujarat.
