- The Brahmaputra River is flowing above the danger mark at Nimatighat, Guwahati, Goalpara, and Dhubri. Its tributaries—Burhi Dihing, Dikhou, Disang, Dhansiri, Jia Bharali, and Kopili—are also above danger levels. The Barak River and its tributaries are similarly affected.
- Approximately 500 families live in the Rowmari Pathar area, and most have lost their lands and homes due to erosion and flood problems.
- Both river erosion and flooding have become major problems in Barpeta district. The current flood has affected nearly 140,000 people and submerged 179 villages in the district. Additionally, floodwaters have inundated 1,571.5 hectares of crop area.
