Arvind Kejriwal unwell: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and minister Atishi disclosed that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has lost 4.5 kg since his arrest on March 21.

However, authorities at Tihar jail stated that he is in good health and hasn't lost weight since his arrest.

In a post on X this morning, Ms Atishi said Mr Kejriwal is a "severe diabetic". "Despite his health problems, he works round the clock to serve the nation. Between his arrest and now, Arvind Kejriwal has lost 4.5 kg. This is very worrying. The BJP is putting his health in danger. If something happens to Arvind Kejriwal, not just the country, even God won't forgive them."

Arvind Kejriwal's prison routine and facilities

Arvind Kejriwal's daily routine within Tihar Jail adheres to a strict schedule, commencing at sunrise around 6:30 am. A modest breakfast comprising tea and slices of bread kicks off the day, followed by potential court hearings or consultations with his legal team. The mid-morning hours accommodate lunch, typically consisting of dal, sabzi, and either rotis or rice, before a designated lock-up period from noon to 3 pm.

The Aam Aadmi Party's National Convenor was arrested on March 21 for alleged misdoings in the now-scrapped Delhi Excise policy case under an ongoing money laundering probe by the ED. He is in ED custody till March 28.

The allegations revolve around purported corruption and money laundering in the formulation and implementation of the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22, which was subsequently revoked.

Kejriwal's arrest comes ahead of the Lok Sabha elections which scheduled to take place between April 19 and June 1, as per the timetable released by the Election Commission earlier this month.
