Arvind Kejriwal ask for Gita, home-cooked food, and belt during CBI custody

PTC News Desk: In relation to the liquor policy case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to three days of CBI detention on Wednesday. While awarding Kejriwal's custody to the investigating agency, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court granted his request for certain accommodations during the custody time.

Kejriwal will have several privileges while in prison, including keeping his glasses, taking his prescribed meds, eating meals prepared at home, keeping a copy of the Bhagavad Gita, and spending one hour a day with his spouse and family.

Kejriwal also had a further request. The Chief Minister told Special Judge Amitabh Rawat that he neglected to include his belt in the list of necessities when he was taken to jail in the Enforcement Directorate case.

Kejriwal clarified that he had to hold his pants while traveling to Tihar Jail since his belt had been seized, which he considered "embarrassing."

The court approved of Kejriwal's demands.Kejriwal is scheduled to appear in court on June 29 at 7:00 p.m. Kejriwal was officially detained by the CBI on Wednesday. He is currently being held at Tihar Jail in relation to a money laundering case.
