Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody in liquor policy case extended till July 3
A Delhi court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who has been in jail since April 1, until 3 July in a corruption case involving the Delhi liquor policy.

The Enforcement Directorate urged the court on Wednesday to extend Arvind Kejriwal's judicial custody, citing the need for further investigation into alleged irregularities in the Delhi excise policy. During the hearing, Kejriwal's counsel opposed the ED's application for an extension of his judicial custody, claiming that there were no grounds to justify the extension.
The IO stated tracing Rs 45 crore of the Rs 100 linked to the case. The CM, represented by advocate Vivek Jain, opposed the extension of his custody, claiming that the application is "bereft of merit."
Jain, representing Kejriwal, stated following the court order, "We object to the judicial remand. The arrest has already been challenged. It's sub judice before the Supreme Court.”
On March 21, the Enforcement Directorate arrested Kejriwal on corruption charges stemming from the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy.
On May 10, the Supreme Court granted him interim bail to campaign for the elections. On June 2, he returned to the jail.
