During this month, if you are planning to complete your long-pending crucial paperwork at bank, you must be aware of the upcoming bank holidays in April, including the second and fourth Saturdays as well as Sundays.
According to the Reserve Bank of India's holiday calendar, banks will be shut for 14 days in various states and districts across Nation in the month of April.
April 2024 Bank Holidays
April 1, 2024 (Monday): Banks to be remain closed across Nation (except some states) due to yearly closing of accounts
April 5, 2024 (Friday): Banks to be remain closed in Jammu and Srinagar/ Telangana on account of Jumat-ul-Vida/Babu Jagjivan Ram’s Birthday
April 7, 2024 (Sunday): Both private and public banks will remain closed across the Nation.
April 9, 2024 (Tuesday): Banks to be remain closed in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad – Telangana, Manipur, Goa, Jammu, and Srinagar on account of festivities.

April 10, 2024 (Wednesday): Banks to be remain closed in Kerala on account of Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr)
April 11, 2024 (Thursday): Banks to be remain closed in several states on account of Ramzan-Id (Id-Ul-Fitr) (1st Shawaal)
April 13, 2024 (Saturday): Banks to be closed as it is Second Saturday
April 14, 2024 (Sunday): Both private and public banks will remain closed across the Nation
April 15, 2024 (Monday): Banks are closed in Assam and Himachal Pradesh.
April 16, 2024 (Tuesday): Banks to be remain closed in several states on occasion of Ram Navami
April 20, 2024 (Saturday): Banks to be remain closed in Tripura on account of Garia Puja
April 21, 2024 (Sunday): Both private and public banks will remain closed across the Nation
April 27. 2024 (Saturday): Banks to be closed as it is Second Saturday
April 28, 2024 (Sunday) : Both private and public banks will remain closed across the Nation
The Reserve Bank has notified the holidays under three brackets — the Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
Online Banking Services to continue
On the above-mentioned holidays, although the banks will be closed, the online banking services will be active which will allow customers to access their bank accounts and perform various transactions at any time, day or night, from virtually anywhere with an internet connection.
