PTC News Desk: Another bridge collapsed in Bihar, third such incident in a week in the state. An under-construction small bridge collapsed in East Champaran district on Sunday, officials said, adding that no casualty has been reported so far.

The state's Rural Works Department (RWD) was building the 16-metre-long bridge over a canal to connect Amwa village to the rest of the block. The construction cost was estimated to be Rs 1.5 crore.

"The exact cause of the incident is not yet determined. This is a serious issue, and a departmental investigation has been ordered. Dipak Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of RWD, said that those found guilty would face severe consequences.

"Senior district administration officers have arrived at the scene. A detailed report is awaited," he stated.
