Akshay Kumar participated virtually in the presentation, while Boney Kapoor was physically present at the Yamuna Expressway Authority office in Greater Noida. All four bidders have successfully qualified on technical grounds, and the financial bid for the International Film City concessionaire or developer is scheduled to be opened on January 30 at 2.30 pm, according to Shailendra Bhatia.

The Film City project is being developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The developer offering the highest revenue share to the state government will be chosen for the greenfield project. After the financial bid is opened, the selected concessionaire's proposal will be forwarded to the state government for approval. Once approved, the allotted land will initiate the project's construction after completing necessary formalities. The bid for the Noida Film City project was initially floated on September 30, 2023, with a deadline set for January 5, 2024. This marks the third attempt to attract investors for the Film City's development after two previous endeavors faced challenges.

A significant undertaking for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Film City is envisioned as an international project spanning over 1,000 acres (with an initial 230 acres) along the Yamuna Expressway near Noida, strategically located in Sector 21 of the Yamuna Expressway Authority near the upcoming Noida International Airport.
