Air India halts flights to and from Tel Aviv till August 8 amid middle east crisis
Air India cancels flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, until August 8 in light of the Middle East conflict.
PTC News Desk: Due to the development of the Israel-Hamas conflict, Air India has immediately cancelled all flights to and from Tel Aviv through August 8.
Air India stated on Friday that it had immediately halted its flights to and from Tel Aviv, Israel, as a result of the tensions in the Middle East. The airline announced in a statement that the flight operations will be suspended until August 8.
"In view of the ongoing situation in parts of the Middle East, we have suspended scheduled operation of our flights to and from Tel Aviv with immediate effect up to and including 08 August 2024," said the statement.
"We are continuously monitoring the situation and are extending support to our passengers with confirmed bookings for travel to and from Tel Aviv during this period, with a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges," it stated.
"Our top focus continues to be the safety of our guests and personnel. The statement said, "For additional information, please contact our 24/7 Contact Center at 011-69329333 / 011-69329999.
Every week, Air India offers four flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv. Air India announced on its website that, for operational reasons, it had to cancel its flights AI139 from Delhi to Tel Aviv and AI140 from Tel Aviv to Delhi on August 1. "Travellers who have confirmed reservations for these two flights will receive a one-time waiver of cancellation and rescheduling fees. We truly apologize for the inconvenience caused," the statement read."
