Air hostess arrested at airport for smuggling gold hidden in rectum
She was among cabin crew member of the Air India Express flight that landed in Kannur from Muscat on May 28

PTC Web Desk: In a bizarre incident, an air hostess was arrested from Kerala's Kannur Airport on smuggling charges. As per information from sources in the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, she was trying to smuggle gold hidden in rectum. The air hostess has been identified as Surabhi Khatun. At least 960 grams of gold was found in her rectum.
Surabhi Khatun is employed with a renowned airline. She was among cabin crew member of the flight that landed in Kannur from Muscat on May 28. DRI officials seized the gold at the Kannur Airport, Kerala. She has been remanded to 14 days in custody. It is learnt that she had smuggled gold earlier too.
The statement from the airlines is awaited
This story seems to be inspired from Bollywood drama 'Crew', released on March 29 this year, in which Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon star as three flight attendants. They also resort to smuggling gold after their airline, Kohinoor Airlines, goes bankrupt.
