PTC News Desk: In a series of accusations that India and Canada are smearing on each other, the latest comes from Canada where it has alleged that Union Home Minister is behind the plots to target Sikhs abroad. The allegations comes days after Indian recalled its diplomats following Canada's remarks of designating them as 'persons of interest'

Here are certain key allegations that led to standoff

September 18, 2023: Canadian Prime Minister in the parliament accused Indian agents linked with murder of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. 


September 19, 2023: India refutes Canada's allegations while both the nations expelling each other's diplomats in a tit for tat moves


November 22, 2023: Biden administration official alleges India's involvement in a thwarted plot to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. 


April 30,2024: White House expressed concerned over Washington Post's report alleging Indian official involved in both killing of Nijjar and foiled plot to kill Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. 


May 3, 2024: Canadian police charged four Indian origin men linking them to Nijjar killing. 


October 14, 2024: India, Canada recalled their diplomats while India dismissed the allegations of Indian officials linked with Nijjar killing. 


Oct. 17, 2024: U.S. charges a former Indian government official for allegedly directing a foiled plot to murder Pannun in New York.


Oct. 20, 2024: Indian ex-official charged by US dismisses allegations, his family says.
