Three people died after a massive fire broke out in a sofa factory in Greater Noida on Tuesday. These workers were charred to death after a fire broke out in Factory 4G while they were asleep.
PTC News Desk: Three people died after a massive fire broke out in a sofa factory in Greater Noida on Tuesday. These workers were charred to death after a fire broke out in Factory 4G while they were asleep. The deceased have been identified as Gulfam, 23, of Mathura, Mazhar Alam, 29, of Katihar, Bihar, and Dilshad, 24, of Araria, Bihar.
Local police and fire departments went to the scene as soon as they learnt of the incident and, after much effort, were able to extinguish the fire.
Ashok Kumar, ADCP Greater Noida, stated that "after receiving information about the fire in Factory No. 4G of Site 4 under Thana Beta 2 area, the local police and fire brigade immediately arrived and began relief and rescue operations. During the search, the bodies of three people were found at the factory. The bodies have been taken into custody and submitted for a post-mortem."
Police started an investigation into the incident, and the cause of the fire is yet unknown. According to the police, the situation is being thoroughly probed, and the deceased's relatives have been notified. Further, investigations are being made with factory management.
