Bomb threat menace continues; 27 fresh threats issued to airlines

Another bomb threat has been issued to 27 flights following which security has been intensified at multiple airports.

PTC News Desk: Another bomb threat has been issued to 27 flights following which security has been intensified at multiple airports. Threats were issued to SpiceJet, IndiGo, Air India, and Vistara. 


The development comes a day after 95 flights of IndiGo, Air India, Vistara, SpiceJet, Alliance Air and Akasa Air received similar threats. In the past nine days, more than 200 flights were impacted by the threats issued to the flights mostly through social media prompting diversion of international flights. 


In the past 11 days, around 250 flights operated by the Indian carriers have received bomb threats. Earlier this week, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu assured that government is planning to take stringent actions to deal with bomb threat instances emphasizing placing perpetrators on no-fly list
