23 children hospitalised after they fall ill at Delhi school, case filed
New Delhi, August 12: Delhi police registered a case against unknown persons on Saturday under relevant sections of the IPC after 23 children from Nigam Pratibha Vidyalaya in Delhi's Inderpuri were hospitalized on Friday after vomiting, according to the police.
According to the authorities, the 23 children who were admitted to the hospital are now well.
A PCR call was received detailing the incident, according to the police.
When the police arrived, they found that some of the students were not feeling well. They were immediately taken to the hospital.
According to the initial scrutiny, a foul smell suddenly permeated certain classes, making children sick. The children had apparently eaten just a few minutes before. Although the smell has diminished, all classrooms have been evacuated as a precaution.
The situation is being monitored on a regular basis. Further investigation of the premises is being conducted in order to determine the cause of the odour.
