MHA notifies land law; now anyone can buy land in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh

Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh land laws: In a major development, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has notified land laws, allowing any citizen of India to buy land in J&K and Ladakh. Union Home Ministry in a statement stated that the order will be called the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Adaptation of Central Laws) Third Order, 2020. The order, regarding Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh land laws, comes into force with immediate effect. The General Clauses Act, 1897 applies for the interpretation of law in force in the territory of India.
