Man hurls bomb at Bihar CM's public meeting site in Nalanda, detained

Nalanda (Bihar), April 12: A bomb was hurled near Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's public meeting site in Nalanda on Tuesday. Police officials have arrived at the site of the incident to ascertain the facts. According to a police official, they have detained one person in connection with a bomb that was hurled near Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'Jansabha' site in Nalanda. The suspect has been taken for interrogation. As per the reports, the bomb exploded just 15-18 feet away from the stage where Nitish Kumar was seated.Nitish Kumar chosen as the Chief Minister of Bihar The incident caused a stampede, however, no injuries have been reported yet. On Tuesday the CM reached Nanand village after attending a program at the Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences in Pawapuri where he was given a grand welcome by the villagers. Earlier, a man was arrested on March 27 in Bihar for trying to attack Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The incident took place at Bakhtiyarpur block in Patna district, where Nitish Kumar was paying floral tributes to the statue of a freedom fighter from the area.
