Ludhiana, September 7: A Ludhiana Court on Wednesday heard the bail plea filed by former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in an alleged 2,000-crore foodgrain transportation tenders scam. After a long debate over the matter, the Court reserved its order till Friday, September 9. Congress leader Ashu, who is facing an FIR in the alleged Rs 2,000-crore foodgrain transportation tenders scam, moved for regular bail in a local court last Friday after which the matter was heard on Wednesday, September 7. Ex-minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu arrested by vigilance, appearance today Currently, Ashu is in Patiala jail on judicial remand. Former Punjab Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu has been arrested in the case concerning alleged irregularities to the tune of Rs 2,000 crore in allotment of labour and transport tenders for lifting grains.
