UGC NET December 2024: Key dates
The deadline for submitting the application form is December 10, 2024, at 11:50 pm.
The deadline for submitting examination fees using Credit/Debit/Net Banking and UPI is December 11, 2024 at 11:50 p.m.
Corrections to the details in the online application form can be made between December 12 and 13, 2024.
The exam is scheduled to take place from January 1 to 19, 2025.
UGC NET December 2024: Application Fee
To apply for the UGC NET 2024 December session, candidates in the General/Unreserved category must pay Rs 1150, while General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates must pay Rs 600. The UGC NET 2024 application cost for SC/ST/PwD and Third Gender candidates is Rs 325.

Steps to Apply for UGC NET in December 2024:
Visit the official website of UGC NET 2024: ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
On the homepage, click the link that states, "UGC-NET December-2024: Click Here to Register/Login".
On the newly opened page, click on the link to the new registration.
Enter the essential details to complete the registration process.
Log in using the system-generated registration ID and password.
The UGC NET is used to assess if Indian nationals are eligible for the 'award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor', 'appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD', or 'admission to PhD only' in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates can apply for UGC - NET December 2024 online only at https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in/. The agency will not accept application forms in any other format.
Candidates aren't allowed to submit more than one application form. They must ensure that the e-mail address and mobile number provided in the online registration form are their own or their parents/guardians' own, as NTA will send all information/communication by e-mail to the registered e-mail address or SMS to the registered mobile number.
UGC has included Ayurveda Biology as a new topic in the UGC-NET beginning with the December 2024 cycle. The addition of Ayurveda Biology is consistent with the UGC's commitment to integrating traditional Indian knowledge into higher education.
