Railway board recruitment:  he Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the reopening of the application process for the technician recruitment. Candidates can apply through the official RRB website at rrbcdg.gov.in. Those who previously submitted applications do not need to register again.

The initial application period ran from March 9, 2024, to April 8, 2024, for a total of 9,144 positions. Subsequently, the board increased the number of vacancies by 5,154, bringing the total to 14,298 positions.


Educational Qualifications

Technician Grade 1: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.Sc. Engineering).

Technician Grade 3: Candidates should have completed their 10th grade and obtained an ITI certificate.

Age Limit: The age limit for candidates is between 18 and 36 years, effective from July 1, 2024. Relaxation in age limits will be provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Application Fee: General candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500, out of which Rs 400 will be refunded after the CBT test. Candidates from reserved categories need to pay Rs 250, which will also be refunded after the CBT test.

Selection Process: The selection will be based on: CBT examination, document verification and medical examination

Salary: Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 92,300, depending on the position.
