PTC Web Desk:  Delhi University on Tuesday unveiled the first merit allocation list for undergraduate courses, comprising the names of 85,853 successful candidates for CUET UG 2023. The seat allocation was determined based on candidates' positions in the merit list, and the deadline for confirming acceptance of the allocated seat is August 4.

All programmes in various colleges have been assigned seats, with the exception of those that mandate performance or practical tests as eligibility criteria. Colleges will review applications of their assigned candidates until August 5, 04:59 pm.

Candidates who receive seat offers in the first round must complete all admission formalities within the stipulated time. Only those who successfully complete the admission process, including fee payment, will be eligible to opt for an 'Upgrade' and participate in the second round of admissions.

In the first round, a total of 202,416 eligible candidates were considered, taking into account their preferences for programme and college combinations. Notably, 7,042 students have been allocated seats according to their first preference, while about 22,000 candidates have been allocated seats from their first five preferences, highlighting a diverse range of choices accommodated in the initial allocations.

The second list is scheduled for release on August 10. Candidates can check the first merit list on the university's admission portal, admission.uod.ac.in, by logging in with their registered credentials.

Candidates have until August 6, 04:59 pm, to make the payment against the first merit list. Failure to pay the admission fee will result in the cancellation of the allocated seat, and the candidate will not be considered for subsequent allocations during the academic year.
