JEE-Main 2021, CBSE Class 12 board exams likely to defer: Report
The first cycle of JEE-Main 2021 is likely to be held in February end instead of January. Also, the CBSE Class 12 board exams 2021 might also defer in an order to provide students with a revision window. The process for the JEE-Main 2021 is likely to commence in December this year as well the exam may be held in the last week of February. The CBSE Class 12 board exams are likely to beyond February so that the students who will appear for the exam can get extra time for preparation and that Class 12 board students can get a revision window post-JEE-Main. Meanwhile, several board exams and other competitive exams are projected to be deferred my more than a month. The projection has been reported in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and upcoming elections in Assam and West Bengal. In fact, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CICSE) officials are of opinion that the boards of exams might not take place as of scheduled time. JEE-Main is the national level competitive exam that opens the gate for admission to various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses. JEE-Mains and JEE (Advanced), which opens the way for admission to IITs, is conducted twice a year i.e. January and April. However, the April exams this year were held in September in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The admissions for the 2020-21 academic session are under process in several educational institutions. -PTC News
