J-K Police deny entry to SAD(A) chief Simranjit Singh Mann

Chandigarh, October 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday stopped the chief of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) Simranjit Singh Mann from entering the Union Territory.

The Member of Parliament (MP) from Sangrur was stopped by the Police at the Lakhanpur border.

Following this, a high-voltage drama was witnessed at Lakhanpur. Mann, who wanted to enter J&K, claimed he had no idea he'd be stopped at Lakhanpur. Meanwhile,  the district administration was reportedly aware that Mann, known for his controversial statements, would be visiting J&K and that this could cause a law and order problem.
