Inflation: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has hiked the prices of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and domestic piped natural gas (PNG) in Delhi by Rs 1. The new price will come into effect from today, March 24. As per the latest notification, the price of PNG in Delhi has been hiked by Rs 1 per standard cubic meter (SCM) to Rs 36.61 per unit, while the price of CNG has been increased by Rs 1 per Kg to Rs 59.01 per Kg in the national capital. In Delhi, the revised Domestic PNG prices are Rs 36.61; Rs 35.86 in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad; Rs 35.42 in Karnal and Rewari; Rs 34.81 in Gurugram; Rs 39.37 in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli; Rs 42.023 in Ajmer, Patil and Rajsamand and Rs 38.50 in Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur. Earlier on Wednesday, the Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise a litre for the second day in a row after the end of a four-and-a-half month rate revision hiatus. According to a price notification issued by state fuel retailers, petrol in Delhi will now cost Rs 97.01 per litre, up from Rs 96.21 earlier, and diesel will cost Rs 88.27, up from Rs 87.47 previously.
