India logs 17,073 new cases, 21 deaths in last 24 hours

New Delhi, June 27: India logged 17,073 fresh Covid-19 cases and 21 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed on Monday raising its tally to 4,34,07,046, a jump of 45 per cent from yesterday. As many as 11,739 new Covid-19 cases and 25 deaths were recorded in the country on Sunday. Also Read: Twitter 'withholds' journalist Rana Ayyub's account in India   The death count has climbed to 5,25,020 with 21 fresh fatalities, data updated at 8 am by the Union Health Ministry stated. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.62 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 3.39 per cent, it said. The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,27,87,606, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.21 per cent.
