Illicit liquor factory unearthed in Gurdaspur In a operation carried out on a tip-off by liquor contractors, the local police and excise department unearthed an illegal liquor factory engaged in manufacturing and bottling of country-made liquor. The unit was functional from a non-operational rice sheller at a village in the Gurdaspur district. The police seized 750 boxes (9,000 bottles) of Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and country liquor. Meanwhile, two smugglers managed to flee from the spot. A criminal case under the Excise Act has been registered against the accused and efforts were on to nab them. - PTC News
