IAF to hold air show over Srinagar’s Dal Lake on September 26
More than 3,000 schoolchildren and college students are expected to attend an air show, which is being organised by the Indian Air Force (IAF) over the Dal Lake, Srinagar, on September 26. Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the principals of various educational institutions regarding students’ participation in the air show. The Indian Air Force (IAF) is organising the event as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ celebrations and the theme is ‘Give Wings to Your Dreams’. Along with the students, 700 teachers would also be present at the venue. Stalls would be set up at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre and students would be made aware of the achievements of the IAF, employment opportunities, recruitment rules and eligibility criteria. -PTC News
