Here are the results of Punjab MC Elections of 68 wards of Amritsar

Municipal Election Results: Election results of 68 wards of Amritsar Municipal Council have come out. Also Read | Punjab MC Results: SAD wins 10 out of 13 wards of Majitha The results of general/by-elections of 8 Municipal Corporations and 109 Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats of Punjab held on February 14, 2020 have come out. Out of 68 wards of Amritsar Municipal Council, 40 have been won by Congress, 25 by Akali Dal and 3 by Independents.

• Majitha Congress- 2, Shiromani Akali Dal- 10, Independent- 1, Total- 13
• Rayya Congress- 12, Shiromani Akali Dal- 1, Total -13
• Ajnala Congress- 7, Shiromani Akali Dal- 8, Total -15
• Asr ward 37 Congress-1, Akali dal- 0, Total- 1
• Jandiala Guru Congress- 10, Shiromani Akali Dal- 3, Independent- 2, Total -15

According to the Punjab Election Commission, the Congress had fielded 2037 candidates, Shiromani Akali Dal- 1569, BJP- 1003, Aam Aadmi Party- 1006 and BSP -106 candidates.
