Health Ministry hints at the availability of first Covid-19 vaccine in India

While the world is waiting for a potential COVID-19 vaccine, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on Monday said that the first coronavirus vaccine in India will most likely be available by early 2021. The health ministry stated that the research to develop a coronavirus vaccine in India is being “done expeditiously”. He informed the media that there are at least 3 COVID-19 vaccine candidates that are in the phase of clinical trials in India. "We’re hopeful that within 1st quarter of 2021 it will be available”, the Union Health Minister was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI. The union health ministry on Monday released the 100-year timeline history of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
