Have you studied Maths? Here's a viral Math equation! Can you solve this?
Social media nowadays have become a question paper itself. Every day new challenges come up, like Bottle cap challenge and now the math's equation. Well, if you hate mathematics, the place is not for you, but if you love maths, then time for another test. A Twitter user named KJ Cheetham recently shared a match equation which seems simple and easy, with the answer provided, asks the people to make a sense out of it. https://twitter.com/kj_cheetham/status/1149966666836656128 He wrote in a tweet, "A maths meme that is actually funny rather than stupid: Solve carefully! 230 - 220 x 0.5=?" Likewise, he shared an answer and wrote, "You probably won’t believe it but the answer is 5!" https://twitter.com/PeeGee84/status/1150375392202637313 https://twitter.com/dhazel418/status/1149988006406905856 https://twitter.com/rahmstorf/status/1150295482452914177 https://twitter.com/maroleon111/status/1150663197914890241 The equation grabbed the attention of the people and collected 29,672 retweets so far and about the likes, it got 58,035 hearts for the equation. There were many who tried to solve the math equation, but some of them were just scratching their heads. https://twitter.com/peter_millet/status/1150456051822710786 https://twitter.com/RemainOnly/status/1149996048284364801 https://twitter.com/MichaelEMann/status/1150351637640298501 https://twitter.com/BlommeHolm/status/1150375380055932928 If you go by school-level maths then the answer concludes 120, but how did it get 5? Puzzled? Okay, well now see the answer again. The user wrote the answer is 5!. Don't neglect the exclamation here. The exclamation is a symbol for factorial, which is denoted by 'n!' and hence it is the product of the rest of the positive integers less than or equal to 'n'. This means '5!' is "5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1", and hence the answer is 120. Hence Proved. -PTC News
