Hate speech case: SP leader Azam Khan gets three years in jail

Rampur (Uttar Pradesh), October 27: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and two other accused have been sentenced to three years in prison along with a fine of Rs 2,000 for a hate speech. The case was filed against Khan over his hate speech against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A Rampur court on Thursday convicted the senior leader of the Samajwadi Party. In April 2019, a case was filed against Khan in Rampur for allegedly making provocative remarks against the Uttar Pradesh CM and the then District Magistrate of Rampur, Aunjaneya Kumar Singh.
