Haryana Police gets prestigious President's Colour
The Haryana Police has been honoured with the President of India’s Police colour for its commitment to professionalism. A communication received from the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Home Department states that the “President of India is pleased to approve the proposal for the Award of President of India’s Police colour to Haryana Police”. It added that the design and description of the flag and the formation sign of the proposed colour has also been approved. Meanwhile, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that “It was a big honour for the police force. It is a recognition of the commitment of the force to the service of humanity besides the professionalism." The Haryana Government will shortly hold a ceremony to award the force with these colours. After the ceremony, the police officers will be able to sport a logo on their left shoulders, giving the police a distinct identity.
