Chandigarh, July 1: The Haryana Government has announced the setting up of film city in Pinjore and another in Gurugram. This has been announced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in his budget speech of financial year 2021-22. Notably, Rs 1.55 lakh crore budget has been announced by Haryana CM during the budget session. Haryana government aims to encourage the cinema industry in the state. For this, two film cities will be developed in the state. For development of film city in NCR, a land area from 50 to 100 acres has already been fixed. Haryana Government aims at establishing the film city at the captivating, historical places of Haryana that will emerge as film shooting locations in the upcoming days. The state government will develop film cities at world famous Yaduvendra Garden located at Panchkula’s Pinjore and second film city in Gurugram. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government is building a very ambitious film city near Noida. The construction of a film city has started at 1000 acres in Yamuna Authority Sector-21, out of which 780 acres of land is for industrial use and 220 acres for commercial use. The proposed film city in Greater Noida has plans to build from a digital studio to a VFX studio and a film academy. The announcement was made during the launch of singer Daler Mahendi's song on state development work.
