Harish Chaudhary issues notice to MLA Sukhpal Khaira over his tweet

Chandigarh, August 29: Following Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira's tweet asking party chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring “not to waste energy on defending individuals” when the state is facing burning issues, Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary has issued a notice to Khaira for taking party issues to social media. Khaira has been asked to reply as to why the matter was not first taken up with the person concerned. Taking to his Twitter handle, Congress MLA Sukhpal Khaira had advised PPCC chief Raja Warring "not to waste energy of the party cadre for any one person" and lift the Ludhiana dharna. "We should not use the energy of the party cadre to defend any one person," he asked. Reacting to this, Raja Warring said "advice should not be given without asking". The PPCC chief said he had already been raising the issue of water for farmers. Notably, Raja Warring has opened a front to save Bharat Bhushan Ashu from the Vigilance. Ashu is also the working head of the party. Earlier, they had gheraoed the Vigilance Office in Chandigarh. However, when Bharat Bhushan Ashu was arrested by the Vigilance from Ludhiana in the tender scam, Raja warring Ludhiana at midnight and launched a dharna in in front of the vigilance office. On the issue, Congress party-in-charge Harish Chaudhary sough Khaira’s response on taking the issue directly to social media instead of keeping the issue in front of party forum. Meanwhile, Sukhpal Khaira countered and stated that leaders should not ignore the advice of even the smallest worker.
