GOI temporarily suspends telecom, internet services in Delhi

Internet Services Delhi: Protesting farmers on Tuesday hoisted a flag at the Red Fort in Delhi after a tractor march in Delhi on Republic Day 2021. Also Read | Tractor March Delhi: Lathi charge on farmers at Red Fort The Government of India has suspended the telecom and internet services in certain areas of Delhi. The areas include 5 borders; Singhu, Tikri, Gazipur, Mukarba Chowk and Nangloi and their adjoining areas in NCT of Delhi from 12:00 to 23:59 hrs on Jan 26, 2020. A lot of metro gates have also been shut. Red Fort in Delhi is fully occupied by protesting farmers now while the police is climbing to remove the flag that was hoisted by the protesters. Also Read | Tractor March Delhi: Farmers hoist flag at Red Fort The farmers' tractor rally in Delhi started in the morning and whereas a lot of farmers are protesting peacefully, a lot of them entered the Red Fort and tried to hoist the Kisan flag. The protestors are breaking the barricades and making their way ahead. Delhi Police has been continuously asking them to follow the route and protest on the same. Despite 11 rounds of meeting between the protesting farmers and the Centre, no conclusion has come out so far. No date has been fixed for the next meeting. The farmers have been protesting against the Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020, Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020, and Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.   -PTC News
