Apple iPhone factory to be built in 300-acre in K’taka soon
Foxconn stands second globally in manufacturing Apple iPhones, posted an income of $206 billion in 2021
Bengaluru, March 03: In a latest development, Apple iPhones would be built in a new 300-acre factory in Karnataka, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Friday. The manufacturing unit will provide employment to one lakh people, they said.
Chief Minister, Chief Minister Bommai tweeted, "Apple phones to be built in the state soon. Apart from creating about 1 lakh jobs, it will create a whole lot of opportunities for Karnataka. Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, we will do our share to make India a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2025.”

Chief Minister also a post from Rajeev Chandrashekar, the Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Electronics and Information Technology.
Quoting a media report, Rajiv Chandrashekar said, "Apple phones to be built in India in a new 300 acre factory in Karnataka. Double engine Sarkar of PM Narendra Modi Ji and CM Basavaraj Bommai working to create investments and jobs and a 1 trillion dollar economy for Karnataka."
On the outskirts of Bengaluru, Foxconn has been provided land. It is one of the leading manufacturer of iPhones. The 300-acre campus is said to be one of the largest manufacturing units for Apple phones.
There is a 17-member of delegation of Foxconn management led by chairman Young Liu visited the campus on Friday. "Bengaluru was the preferred destination for global companies and had been a forerunner in attracting investment,” Foxconn chairman Young Liu said.
The delegation would fly to New Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the evening, officials said. Foxconn, which stands second globally in manufacturing Apple phones, posted an income of 206 billion dollars in 2021. The company has manufacturing units in several countries including China, India, Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Czech Republic and the US.
