Washington, April 6: Seeing people's craze for reels, Meta-owned Facebook has decided to allow users to post short-form videos from third-party apps. With the 'Sharing to Reels' feature, Facebook users will now be able to share short videos directly to the social media platform, reported TechCrunch. "Once integrated, third-party apps will have a Reels button so people can share short videos, then customize with Reels editing tools like audio, text, effects, captions and stickers," Meta's director of product management, John McCarthy said in a blog post. "Instead of downloading their video content and uploading it later, they can now create and share video seamlessly with one tap of a button," he added. Third-party apps will have a Reels button once they've been integrated, allowing users to share short videos and then customise them with Reels editing tools like audio, text, effects, captions and stickers. They may now create and share videos with a single tap of a button, rather than downloading and uploading them later. People will be able to explore Reels based on their interests and what's popular at the top of Feed, the Watch Tab, Stories, and Groups. When a user posts a reel from a third-party app to Facebook, friends and family can easily follow along, like, comment, and share it.
