Ex mayor of Chandigarh and senior Congress leader Poonam Sharma joins BJP In a major blow to the city Congress, former Mayor Poonam Sharma, a close aide of Navjot Kaur Sidhu, joined Bhartiya Janta Party on Tuesday. She was denied the party ticket for the city Lok Sabha seat.
