Zeenat Aman shares journey of overcoming eye condition ptosis through surgery

PTC Web Desk: Bollywood superstar Zeenat Aman has recently shared her journey of dealing with her eye condition, ptosis, and undergoing surgery to correct her drooping eyelid. The veteran actor penned a heartfelt message, explaining how this 40-year-old injury had gradually started to impact her vision, prompting her to seek treatment.

She expressed her gratitude to her colleagues in the entertainment industry who continued to collaborate with her despite the changes in her appearance due to the eye injury.

Accompanied by a touching photograph of her son, Zahaan, kissing her forehead before her surgery, Zeenat Aman disclosed that she underwent the procedure just a day after a photoshoot for a leading international magazine. She described her early morning journey to Hinduja Hospital in Khar with her son Zahaan and Cara, expressing determination to address the long-standing issue.

Zeenat opened up about her ptosis, a condition resulting from an injury sustained several decades ago, which had damaged the muscles around her right eye. Over the years, this had caused her eyelid to droop progressively, and eventually, it began to obstruct her vision. Dealing with such a dramatic change in appearance, especially in an industry where one's looks are crucial, presented its challenges. Despite the limitations it imposed on her career and the unwanted attention it garnered, Zeenat maintained her resilience and self-assuredness.

Reports suggest that Zeenat's eye injury dates back to a severe incident involving her ex-husband, Sanjay Khan, who allegedly assaulted her in a hotel room during a meeting in the presence of his other wife, Zarine.
