Reels craze takes life: In a heart-wrenching incident, 26-year-old popular travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar tragically lost her life after falling into a 300-foot gorge at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra's Raigad
Known for her adventurous travel content and vibrant social media presence, she fell into a 300-foot gorge while shooting a reel.
The fatal incident
Aanvi Kamdar and seven friends went on a trip to a waterfall on July 16. Tragically, around 10:30 on July 17, while they were filming a video, Aanvi slipped into a deep gorge.
Quickly responding to the dreadful incident and taking swift action, a rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Additional support was provided by the Coast Guard, Kolad rescue team, and Maharashtra State Electricity Board staff.
After a six-hour operation, Aanvi was rescued from the gorge.
However, she succumbed to her severe injuries shortly after arriving at the Managaon sub-district hospital.
