PM Modi, on the other hand, continues to be the most popular global leader on X (previously Twitter), with over 101.2 million followers. Kapoor is now the third most popular Indian on the Meta-owned platform, trailing only cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Priyanka Chopra.
37-year-old Shraddha Kapoor enjoying the success of her recent film, the horror comedy "Stree 2," which opened in theatres on August 15.
Virat Kohli (271 million) and Priyanka Chopra (91.8 million followers) are the most followed Indian celebrities on Instagram. Alia Bhatt has 85.1 million followers on the platform, while Deepika Padukone has 79.8 million.
On X, PM Modi is much ahead of other world leaders such as US President Joe Biden, Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed, and Pope Francis. The PMO's X account has almost 56 million followers. Top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has 26.7 million followers on X, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 27.6 million on the platform.
