Shah Rukh Khans Jawan surpasses Rs 1117 crore mark, dominates global box office
Despite already achieving the title of the highest-grossing Indian film in 2023, Shah Rukh Khan's latest release, "Jawan," shows no signs of slowing down

PTC News Desk: Shah Rukh Khan's latest blockbuster, "Jawan," continues to dominate the global box office, crossing Rs 1117 crore in worldwide collections as of Sunday. Red Chillies Entertainment, the film's production house, announced this milestone on Monday, solidifying "Jawan" as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.
Even as it enters its fifth week in theaters, "Jawan" shows no signs of slowing down, maintaining strong box office numbers despite new releases. Directed by Atlee, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover, and a cameo appearance by Sanjay Dutt.
Released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, "Jawan" collected ₹80.1 crore in India (across all languages) on its opening Sunday. Shah Rukh Khan, speaking about the film's success, expressed his gratitude for the dedication of the cast and crew over the four-year production period, which included challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Looking ahead, Shah Rukh Khan's next project is "Dunki," set for a Christmas release. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu and marks Shah Rukh Khan's first collaboration with the acclaimed director. "Dunki" is expected to clash with Prabhas' action thriller "Salaar" at the box office.
