The show well known for its dark humour and edgy content received severe criticism from netizens who felt that a line was crossed in the recent episode. The contestant who ended up winning prize money, joked about Padukon's depression and compared it with her post-partum, which however didn't go well with the fans. As soon as the snippets from the episode went viral, the social media users criticised the joke for 'trivialising mental health'.
One user commented, "This! pick me of the highest order." Another said, "It's not about Deepika, but a woman's mental health being made fun of in the national television, all for male validation by a female comedian." While some users also came in defense of the episode describing it as nothing different from the other edgy stuff which also received severe retaliation by other user who wrote, "People are finding it unfunny because it trivializes a common mental health condition and that too in a dumb way, comparing apples to oranges. It is punching down, unintelligently."
Besides the contestant, the judges too earned users' flak for applauding the jokes on sensitive issues such as mental health. The panel of judges include Raghu Ram of Roadies fame and comedian Tanmay Bhat, among others.
