PTC Web Desk: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Bandra residence around 2.30 am on Thursday. Preliminary investigations suggest the attacker might have already been inside the house, as CCTV footage from two hours prior to the incident shows no one entering the residential complex.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam, Saif Ali Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. A female staff member, who was also injured during the attack, is hospitalised in stable condition. “We received information about the incident at around 3 am. Senior officials immediately reached the location and initiated an investigation,” Gedam stated.

Sources said a duct in the actor's bedroom might have served as the entry point for the attacker. Forensic experts have collected evidence from the scene, and police teams are actively recording statements from local residents and staff.

When questioned about the possibility of a robbery attempt, officials refrained from sharing details, stating that the investigation is ongoing.

At least seven police teams have been assigned to probe the case from multiple angles. The residential society’s security guard reported not seeing anyone enter the premises, further supporting the theory that the suspect was already inside the building. Five staff members from Saif Ali Khan’s household are being questioned for further insights.
