New Delhi, December 22: In the ongoing legal tussle between Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez and alleged conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the plot thickens as Sukesh has threatened to reveal purportedly 'unseen' evidence against Jacqueline. His bold claim comes amidst Jacqueline's plea to the Delhi High Court to dismiss the FIR filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Rs 200 crore money laundering case.

Conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, the prime accused in the money laundering case, has purportedly stated in a recent letter his intentions to divulge undisclosed evidence pertaining to a person, without explicitly naming Jacqueline. Reports suggest that this evidence comprises chats, screenshots, and recordings aimed at substantiating his claims.

One striking assertion by Sukesh involves alleged financial contributions towards boosting the social media presence of an unnamed individual, seemingly in competition with a highly prominent colleague of theirs. "The world needs to know the truth, the reality," Sukesh iterated in the letter, emphasising a perceived necessity for the undisclosed information to come to light.

Jacqueline, in response to these developments, sought court intervention by approaching Delhi's Patiala House Court. Her plea urged the court to prevent Chandrashekhar from further communicating or making statements about her, citing a letter dated October 15 that contained unsettling content widely reported in the media.

The actor's legal team argued that Sukesh's relentless pursuit amounted to witness tampering, intending to mentally distress her to the extent that she might withhold information during the criminal trial. Jacqueline's petition highlighted the financial losses incurred due to the widely circulated content and labeled the campaign as harassment, intimidation, and a violation of her rights as a prosecution witness.

Support for Jacqueline's stance arrived from the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), which echoed her concerns in its response. The EOW pointed out that Sukesh Chandrashekhar had been consistently sending letters related to Jacqueline to media platforms, causing harassment and adversely impacting her social and professional commitments.

Notably, Jacqueline Fernandez is identified as a protected witness in the ongoing investigation by the EOW concerning the Rs 200-crore money-laundering and extortion case, further complicating the legal imbroglio.
