The borders have remained closed for traffic since Thursday evening as thousands of agitating farmers are marching towards Delhi. Singhu border connects Narela and adjoining Delhi areas with Sonepat. It was closed at around 4.30 pm on Thursday as Delhi Police stated they had inputs from Haryana counterparts about farmers nearing the border. The Haryana government had sealed the borders and deployed heavy security to stop Punjab farmers from entering Haryana but failed as farmers reached the Singhu border in a huge number. -PTC News
